We advise payments directors, CTOs, and boards on the decisions that matter most — from architecture and vendor selection to regulatory readiness and M&A due diligence. In addition, our consultants have worked on both sides of the acquiring relationship, across processors, issuers, retailers, and fintechs, for over two decades. Consequently, that means we understand payment systems from the acquirer outward — not just from the merchant’s perspective. We have advised on payment strategy for PayPal, Worldpay, ALDI, and Circle K, and provided due diligence support to private equity firms evaluating payments businesses.

Payments Operations & Support

We operate and support live payment systems on behalf of our clients — providing 24/7 incident response, system monitoring, ongoing maintenance, and continuous improvement. In some cases, that means managing the systems we originally built. For others, it means taking operational accountability for payment infrastructure that has outgrown an internal team’s capacity to support it. Furthermore, our longest operational relationship spans over a decade.

Tim Stratton

Tim is CEO of Latitude 91 group, which includes Polar Moment, SkillSet and Game Payment Technology. He also built Retail Logic into the UK’s leading card payments software business – subsequently acquired by Barclaycard – before founding the group in 2006. With an MBA specialising in financial strategy and more than twenty years of experience leading payments businesses. As a result he brings commercial, strategic, and business-building expertise to every engagement.

John Rozek

John Rozek is a co-founding director of Polar Moment and one of the UK’s most experienced payments specialists. With over twenty years across acquirers, issuers, processors, and retailers, he combines rare technical depth with a network built over decades of industry leadership. In addition, he has delivered payment programmes for PayPal, Shell, Worldpay, ALDI, and others, and has advised on everything from vendor selection to M&A due diligence.

Paul Deed

Paul Deed is a co-founding director of Polar Moment and the firm’s payments technical director. Over twenty years he has led the technical delivery of every payment system Polar Moment has built — from architecture through acquirer accreditation to live operation. He designed and built Game Payment Technology, the cashless payment platform now operating across the gaming sector. He also led the technical delivery of payments-related projects for clients including Planet, Miura, An Post, InstaVolt and Ericsson.
